About Our Team

Chris’s fascination with unique treasures began as a toddler, attending auctions with family who owned the beloved “Crabapple General Store” in Roswell, GA. This early passion stayed with him as he came to Athens to pursue education at the University of Georgia, where he earned two degrees. His love for the Classic City and its history proved strong, and after graduating, he never left, returning to a lifelong appreciation for antiques and beautiful household goods.

Monica brings a rich international perspective and an eye for design to the team. Originally from Nicaragua, she arrived in the United States in 1986. After a career in interior design, Monica’s natural affinity for aesthetics and unique pieces led her to own a vintage and antiquities store, further enhancing expertise in evaluating and curating valuable collections.

Together, combined experience and shared dedication form the foundation of Athena Estate Sales.
